PASSING OF ADCORP HOLDING LEAD INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR: MR MICHAEL SPICER
In terms of paragraph 3.59(b) of the JSE Listings Requirememts, the Board of the Company (“the Board”) regrets to advise shareholders of the passing of the Group’s Lead Independent Director, Mr Michael (“Mike”) Spicer on Wednesday the 09th of March 2022.
Mike who was appointed as the Group’s Lead Independent Director in August 2013 and served as a member of the Human Capital Committee and the Audit and Risk Committee, was an icon and highly regarded, respected director.
He leaves behind a proud legacy of strong and principled leadership, and he will be sorely missed by his fellow directors, the management and all who knew him at Adcorp. The Board extends deepest sympathies and condolences to Mike’s family.
The Board will convene in due course to discuss changes to the Board and its committees, which changes will be communicated.
