What is it?
Corona is a large group of viruses, which can infect both humans and animals with flu-like symptoms. The intensity of the infection ranges from the common cold to acute respiratory disease.
However the new strain of Coronavirus which causes MERS, is a novel virus to humans. So far the information related to the disease, its signs, symptoms, modes of transmission and even the sources of infection is limited.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has now declared the current outbreak of the new Coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China as a “Public Health Emergency of International Concern.” As more countries announce quarantine measures for travellers returning from China, as a business we need to ensure that we are prepared to deal with the impact of the Coronavirus in our workplace.

There is no treatment to date. Supportive medical care is provided to help relieve the acuteness of the symptoms and control complications.
